Google Maps Estimated Time For Travel

Traveling to an unknown place may be troublesome. You have to ask directions, and know the estimate traveling time to get there. When you are in such situation, you can't help but google directions online with Google Maps.

Google Maps is a free online map that shows you how far a place is from where you are located. It is helpful when you will go to an unknown place. Just type in an initial direction and the address of your destination, and it will give you the shortest distance possible.

You may wonder though if it applies driving speed limits of that specific place so you know exactly if the estimated time works for you, but I do think that this tool so far is not as clever as that.

Based on my experience you can't rely on the estimated time given in Google Maps, well maybe it is the average time, but remember there are a lot of factors that affect the time for travel. Take into consideration what time of the day you'll be driving, what weather conditions you'll be driving in. Also, are you going to make any stops, etc. Once you have answered these questions, leave your place based on your estimated time.
